PMGDISHA stands for Pradhan Mantri Gramin Digitally Saksharta Abhiyan. PMGDISHA (Pradhan Mantri Gramin Digital Saksharta Abhiyan ) is the scheme which has been announced by finance minister Mr. Arun Jately on the Union Budget 2016-2017. And approved by the Prime Minister Mr. Narender Modi on 8. February 2017. This scheme has been launched with the vision of digital literacy. Through this scheme government wants to digitally literate the rural houses of India.
Digital Literacy: is the term used for making digital literate. Teaching a person how to use digital devices like smart phones, access internet, use digital devices like tablets, computer, PC's etc. trained him for using e- wallets, do bank transferring etc.
Budget: The budget decided for the PMKVY (Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas) scheme is Rs 2, 31.38.
Target: The target taken for the Pradhan Mantri Gramin Digital Saksharta Abhiyan (PMGDISHA) is to trained 6crore rural houses till the financial year 2019.
